Fellow Biographies

Addiction Psychiatry fellows are gaining valuable skills and experience to help them successfully take the next step in their careers and make an impact on the lives of individuals struggling with addiction and their families.

Our alumni have applied the knowledge and skills gained through the fellowship to pursue diverse career paths. Below is a sample of some of our fellows’ experiences during training and their subsequent career pursuits.

 

Dr. Elizabeth HuntElizabeth Hunt, MD is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed a residency in Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Centers system.

 


Dr. Rajul VasireddyRajul Vasireddy, MD earned his medical degree from the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed a residency in Psychiatry at the UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. After his fellowship, he established a private practice in Pittsburgh where he provides cross-cultural, evidence based care using both medications and psychotherapy.


Dr. Joseph TasosaJoseph Tasosa, MD's interests as an Addiction fellow concentrated on co-occurring disorders. After completing the fellowship in 2016 he relocated to Falls Church, Virginia where he continues to provide addiction treatment and other psychiatric services as a physician with Kaiser Permanente.


 

Dr. Stanley SamuelDuring his fellowship, Stanley Samuel, MD was interested in the integration of pharmacological and psychosocial treatments for substance use disorders. He is currently a psychiatrist at the Kaiser Permanente Moreno Valley Medical Center where he specializes in addiction medicine.
