We are excited to announce the details of the next Research Equity and Community Health Collaborative's (REACH's) Health Equity Seminar which will take place January 20, 2022 from 11:00am-12:00pm. 

Research faculty and staff and trainees and students engaged in research in the Department of Psychiatry are encouraged to join us on February 11, 2022 for a special presentation on the responsible conduct of research sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

The Pitt Department of Psychiatry and UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital will host the Annual Clinician Educator Showcase on March 24, 2022 from 12:30pm - 4:30pm. 

This annual event highlights the outstanding work of our clinician-educators and offers faculty, staff and trainees the opportunity to learn new skills to help them achieve their career development goals, improve the quality of patient care, and enhance their teaching and mentorship skills. 

The 2022 STAR-Center Conference will be offered virtually once again this year via live streaming using Zoom. The conference will take place on May 6, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Preteen Suicide and Suicidal Behavior:  Assessment and Prevention

On June 9, 2022 the Department of Psychiatry will host its Annual Research Day on the Pitt Oakland campus. This important annual event highlights the diverse research taking place in the Department of Psychiatry by our talented faculty, postdoctoral researchers, trainees, and staff. It is also a terrific venue for networking, building new collaborations, and reconnecting with colleagues.

Building off past years, the theme this year, "Engage, Educate, Advocate,'' challenges  professional allies to rise to the task of meeting the community where it is while also raising the voices of the gender diverse community members alongside or above their own. All transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse community members and their immediate caregivers or parents can register for free and will have access to all content, including the professional sessions.
