UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital Welcomes the Clinical Psychology Intern Class of 2025-2026

Please join us in welcoming the 2025-2026 Clinical Psychology Intern class!

The American Psychological Association-accredited program is led by Leslie Horton, PhD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology), and Rebecca Price, PhD (Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Clinical and Translational Science, and Psychology).

This yearlong experience adheres to a clinical science model of training and professional development, emphasizing research and clinical training integration, as well as a commitment to empirically informed approaches to clinical work. The program is committed to improving representation in psychological science, which is crucial for enhancing clinical effectiveness and stimulating innovations in clinical research. We are pleased to introduce this year’s interns:

Nicolas Camacho (he/him) - Duke University
Research Interests: Transdiagnostic measurement and mechanisms of depressive symptoms in young children.

Victoria Guazzelli Williamson (she/her) - University of Oregon
Research Interests: The role of mentalizing and social cognitive development in adolescent internalizing psychopathology.

Rowan Hunt (she/they) - University of Louisville
Research Interests: Socio-affective mechanisms underlying trajectories in self-damaging behaviors (e.g., eating disorders, non-suicidal self-injury, suicide, problematic substance use).

John (Kai) Kellerman (he/him) - Rutgers University
Research interests: Risk and resilience factors for suicidal thoughts and behaviors among high-risk populations (e.g., LGBTQIA+ youth and adults) and high-risk time periods.

Claire Klein (she/her) - University of North Carolina / Chapel Hill
Research interests: Development, refinement, and dissemination of interventions for autism spectrum disorders across the lifespan.
