Psychosomatic Medicine Conference to Highlight
Interface of Psychiatry and Other Medical Specialties

Registration is now open for the 2016 UPMC Psychosomatic Medicine Conference.  The program features clinical experts who are transforming the diagnosis and care of individuals with psychosomatic disorders and complex medical conditions.

The conference?s course directors, Drs. Pierre Azzam, Priya Gopalan, and Julie Graziane, are engaged in educational and clinical initiatives on psychosomatic medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC.  They have developed a program highlighting innovative programs and partnerships in palliative care, transplantation psychiatry, law and ethics, perinatal psychiatry, and efforts to better integrate care. Participants also will learn about community resources and research focusing on psychosomatic medicine that may be incorporated into their own practices and projects.

The one-day conference will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Thomas E. Starzl Biomedical Science Tower on the University of Pittsburgh?s Oakland campus. Continuing education credits are available.
