Join us for our next Clinical Grand Rounds on February 13, 2026 featuring presentations by James Tew, Jr., MD and Hader Mansour, MD, PhD. Drs. Tew and Mansour will discuss the challenges of decision-making and involuntary commitment.
Dr. Tew earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency in psychiatry and clinical fellowships in geriatric psychiatry at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. He is currently Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh and serves as Vice President Medical Affairs and Associate Chief for Inpatient Services at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital.
Dr. Mansour, an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, received his medical degree and PhD in psychiatric genetics from Mansoura University in Egypt, then came to the University of Pittsburgh for postdoctoral training. He currently serves as medical director of the Addiction Medicine Services Dual Diagnosis unit at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH), which treats individuals who have a primary mental health diagnosis and a co-occurring severe addictive disorder.
