The Benefits of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)

Tejah Bhojak, MD Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
Daniel Varon, MD Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

The Center for Interventional Psychiatry at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital invites you to join a free, one-hour virtual “lunch and learn” about Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) services. This event will be hosted on MS Teams.

Managing patients with treatment-resistant severe depression, as well as other psychiatric disorders, is challenging. Dr. Tejal Bhojak and Dr. Daniel Varon, psychiatrists at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital specializing in managing these patients, use TMS and ECT to improve patient results.

Learn about the effectiveness of these services, as well as review the most current criteria for referring a patient. Drs. Bhojak and Varon will share patient outcomes for TMS and ECT and their experience using these modalities.

There is no cost to attend this one-hour program.

Registration. To register, email Darla Donatelli at donatellidm@upmc.edu or call (412) 586-9011.
