Victor L. Villemagne, MD Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Melbourne, Australia

Dr. Victor Villemagne is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne, Australia. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship in nuclear medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Villemagne continued his research at the National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institutes of Health, and University of Pittsburgh, before moving to Australia in 2013. His main research interest is the in-vivo imaging of brain pathology in aging and neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Villemagne’s work assessing the pathological protein Aβ-amyloid (Aβ) in Alzheimer's disease and neurodegeneration has been published in leading journals, including Lancet Neurology.
