Roberto Ortiz-Aguayo, MD, FAAP Elected President of National Training Program

 

The National Association for Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Programs has selected Dr. Roberto Ortiz-Aguayo as its new  president.  Dr. Ortiz-Aguayo, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics, serves as the Associate Director of the Residency Training  for the Triple Board Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and is the Medical Director for Pediatric Behavioral Health Campus Based Services  at Children?s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. 

As President of the Association, Dr. Ortiz-Aguayo will serve a term of three years and will be responsible for coordinating the joint efforts of the Triple Board and Post-Pediatric Portal Programs (PPPP) in the planning and implementation of the new Pediatric, Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry Milestones project.  He will also serve on the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training and Education Committee and oversee the coordination of a number of annual meetings and conferences. Two of Dr. Ortiz-Aguayo's top priorities during his term as president are to further develop the Association's efforts to provide program graduates with the tools and resources to serve as core leaders in the new enterprise of the pediatric medical home, and to establish a Triple Board/PPPP alumni association.  Congratulations to Dr. Ortiz-Aguayo in his appointment to this important post!
