Research

Our Department is recognized internationally as a leader in multiple domains of psychiatric research. Our sustained success is due to the Department’s rich collaborative climate and nurturing environment for young investigators. We use translational strategies that cut across diagnostic categories and developmental approaches that focus on the emergence of dysfunction in pursuit of our mission: Advancing the scientific understanding of the mechanisms of mental illness in order to develop novel means to diagnose and treat, and ultimately predict and prevent, these disorders.
