Please join us in welcoming the 2024-2025 Clinical Psychology Intern class!

The American Psychological Association-accredited program is led by Tina Goldstein, PhD (Pittsburgh Foundation Endowed Professor in Psychiatry Research and Professor of Psychiatry and Associate Professor of Psychology), and Michele Levine, PhD (Professor of Psychiatry and Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, and Psychology), along with incoming co-directors Rebecca Price, PhD (Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology), and Leslie Horton, PhD (Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology).

This yearlong experience adheres to a clinical science model of training and professional development, emphasizing research and clinical training integration, as well as a commitment to empirically informed approaches to clinical work. The program trains interns in cultural humility and multicultural clinical competencies, and is focused on increasing the participation of underrepresented populations in clinical medicine, biomedical research, teaching, and service. Ka-Yi (Iris) Chat (she/her/they/them) - Temple University
Research interests: Biobehavioral mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of mood disorders and comorbid medical conditions.

Lauren Laifer (she/her) - University of Nebraska
Research interests: Intergenerational transmission of psychopathology.

Shruti Kinkel-Ram (she/her) - Miami University
Research interests: Longitudinal modelling of the impact of the social determinants of health on eating disorders and suicidality.

Emmanuel Thomas (he/him) - University of Rhode Island
Research interests: Trauma and substance use in systemically marginalized populations.

Delainey Wescott (she/her) - University of Pittsburgh
Research interests: Sleep and circadian rhythms in risk, maintenance and treatment of mood disorders.
