Residents Receive PROCAP Grants

Residents Awarded PROCAP Grants

The Pittsburgh Regional Organization for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (PROCAP) has selected Nasuh Malas, MD, MPH and Heather Liebherr, DO as the recipients of two grants from the organization.  As part of their awards, they will attend the 60th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Orlando, FL in October 2013, and participate in regular PROCAP Executive Council and general meetings.

Dr. Malas was selected to receive a PROCAP Educational Outreach Grant.  He is a Chief Resident in the Triple Board Program (Pediatrics/General Psychiatry/Child Psychiatry).  His academic and clinical interests include childhood chronic disease, the impact of psychosocial stressors on child health, and preventive care.

Dr. Liebherr is the recipient of a PROCAP System of Care Travel Grant and is a PGY-3 Resident.  Her interests include school psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, and clinical research in children with ADHD and other Disruptive Behavior Disorders.
