New Faculty - Susan Perlman, PhD

Susan Perlman, PhD Joins Department of Psychiatry Faculty

Susan Perlman, PhD, has been appointed Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  Dr. Perlman earned her Master?s and doctorate degrees from Duke University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Psychiatry.  She is the Principal Investigator of a grant exploring Neural Mechanisms for the Early Development of Pervasive Anger and Irritability funded by a career development (K01) award from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).   Dr. Perlman is also actively involved in the Department?s Developmental Affective Science Collective (DASC), a group of collaborating researchers at the University of Pittsburgh conducting research on affective disorders and affective development.
