Jessica Levenson, PhD Promoted to Assistant Professor

Jessica Levenson, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist treating adolescents and adults for mood and sleep disorders. Her research interests are designing and evaluating interventions for adolescents that enhance sleep health specifically to promote mental and physical health broadly. She uses qualitative and quantitative approaches to develop stakeholder-informed interventions that are likely to be effective, adopted, and implemented. Her work also explores the role of disturbed sleep in the onset and course of depression and bipolar disorder. The Department of Psychiatry is pleased to announce her promotion to Assistant Professor in Psychiatry by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she also received her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She completed a clinical psychology internship at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship in Translational Research Training in Sleep at Pitt. Dr. Levenson recently received the Focused Projects and Bridge to Success awards from the American Sleep Medicine Foundation.
