Dr. David Benhayon Receives APIRE Clinical Trials Psychiatric Research Fellowship

David Benhayon, MD, PhD, a resident in the Department of Psychiatry?s Triple Board Program in Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry, has received the 2010 APIRE Clinical Trials Psychiatric Research Fellowship Award by the American Psychiatric Association (APA). The award is presented by the APA to an outstanding post-doctoral research trainee that has completed residency training in general psychiatry or child psychiatry, and who demonstrates significant research potential. Dr. Benhayon received the award on May 26, 2010 at the APA Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA. Following the completion of his residency training in June, 2010, he will pursue research training in the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) under the co-mentorship of Dr. Eva Szigethy, seen here with Dr. Benhayon, and Dr. Daniel Buysse. The Department congratulates Dr. Benhayon on this exceptional accomplishment.
