Mark your calendar and join us for the next REACH Health Equity Seminar featuring a presentation by Mary Woody, PhD on "Incorporating Diverse Real-World Experiences into Neurocognitive Paradigms: Application of EEG and Immersive Technologies."
Dr. Woody, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, uses steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEPs) to provide a temporally sensitive biological index of attention to competing visual stimuli at the level of neuronal populations in the visual cortex. Her current research investigates the visuocortical dynamics of affect-biased attention in the development of adolescent depression.
The seminar will also include a discussion of breaking commentary titled “Dealing with Diversity in Psychology: Science and Ideology” by Dr. Steven Roberts (preprint).
