Welcome to the Depression and Manic Depression Prevention Program

Depression and Bipolar Disorder can be debilitating for the patients and agonizing for loved ones to watch. However, when these disorders are skillfully managed, treatment is successful in nearly 90 percent of patients.

The Depression and Manic Depression Prevention Program (DMDPP), directed by Ellen Frank, Ph.D., provides information and treatment for depression and bipolar disorders in adults.  All of our services are offered at no cost to our patients. Our office is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  For more than 25 years, the DMDPP has assessed and treated thousands adults suffering from depression and bipolar disorders.

Dr. Frank's group is dedicated to providing a space where persons suffering with depression can better understand the illness and learn to cope with it through personal support and treatment. For more information or if you would like to join a study, please call 412-246-5566.
