The faculty and staff of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is committed to its tri-fold mission of providing superb behavioral health services to its patients and their families; identifying better diagnostic techniques and state-of-the-art treatments through innovative and cutting edge research; and developing a stimulating learning environment that provides superb training to medical students, residents, interns, and fellows, and allows for effective career development at all levels.
A talented academic faculty of over 200 primary members trained in clinical medicine, psychology, social work, and multiple fields of basic science, continues to shape the future of behavioral health and promises to bring new and effective treatments to the many patients entrusted to our care.
