in Autism Spectrum Disorders

Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics & Pharmacology
In addition to his position as Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Pharmacology, Dr. Veenstra-VanderWeele is the Division Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University, and the Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD). The research efforts of Dr. Veenstra-VanderWeele and his group mostly go toward developing and studying mouse models to understand the relationship between autism spectrum disorder or obsessive-compulsive disorder risk factors and the resulting changes in brain and behavior.
