Clinical Grand Rounds: Relapse and Recovery in Early Psychosis

Early phase schizophrenia is a period of great upheaval and multiple challenges for patients and their families. Among these challenges are high relapse rates in the context of difficulties with maintaining good treatment adherence. This presentation will give an overview of the relapse in early psychosis, including discussion of some of the complicating factors such as substance use comorbidities, as well as mediation and psychotherapeutic interventions that can be critical in the recovery process.
